In our words
illCurrency started the way most good things in this culture do: a small crew, a camera roll full of release dates, and a closet of sneakers with nothing clean to wear with them.
We were tired of pulling up in a grail pair and throwing on whatever tee was folded on top. If you spent months chasing a colourway, the fit around it should feel just as intentional.
So we started printing our own. One tee, one pair, matched exactly — colour for colour, story for story. Friends asked for theirs. Then their friends did.
Today illCurrency drops matching apparel for every major Jordan and Nike release, printed in limited runs on heavyweight cotton, shipped to over 100,000 sneakerheads worldwide.
The rule hasn't changed since day one: if it doesn't match, it doesn't drop.
